Free books

Join my email mailing list and your name will go into the draw for a free copy of each of my books when they are being published. This includes The Peculiar Case of the Electric Constable (to be published in 2013), The Lucretia Borgia of Botany Bay (to be published in 2014) and all my "how to" books.
So why am I making this offer? Personally, I always like to know "what is the catch"? In this case, I am making this offer so I can build up my mailing list with the names of people interested in reading my books and learning from my knowledge. The only way I can let people know about the publication of my "non-fiction thrillers" and my "how to" books, as well as my seminars and webinars and other teaching vehicles, is to communicate with them via a newsletter. There is a cost in producing books, and in hiring halls for seminars (or having genealogical/historical societies host them), so the more people who know about them the better. As for webinars - which I would like to do regularly - it costs $1000-$5000 per year for the licence. Gulp! I need to be able to cover these costs and make a profit so I can keep doing them, otherwise I have to find other ways of making a living.
Once I have enough names on my mailing list, I will begin to offer these learning opportunities. My aim, for example, is to offer some webinars for free and others at the low cost of $10 per webinar.
What is the advantage to you of joining my mailing list? Not just the chance to be in the draw for a free book, of course, but the opportunity to be kept abreast of the entertainment and educational opportunities I can offer. Also, think how easy it is to learn from the comfort of your home at whatever time suits you (you can access an archived webinar at any time), and for a low fee. And, if you have attended a webinar on a particular subject, if I later produce a "how to" book on the same subject, you can purchase a copy at a discounted price.
So, send me an email via my Contacts page and ask to be added to my email list. You will receive a regular newsletter with information about my books and seminars and webinars. Help me to help you.

All is progressing well with my international book. It now has a title: The Peculiar Case of the Electric Constable: a True Tale of Passion, Poison and Pursuit. Click here for the catalogue announcement. It is being published on 5 September 2013 in Britain, on 8 October 2013 in USA and Canada, and I'm not sure yet what the date is for Australia and New Zealand. Join my email mailing list (go to Contacts page) and I can let you know when it is coming out and where you can purchase it.
